Private Dog Training

In these sessions, we will work towards achieving your specific training goals with your dog. We can meet in your home, your neighborhood, or a local park. We can focus on one topic or many. We can work with one pet, or multiple. We may reach our goals in one session or may choose to meet weekly, monthly- whatever is the best fit for your goals and schedule. Sessions are 1 hour long, but shorter or longer sessions can be arranged.

1-Hour Training Session

$80

Common training topics include:

Separation anxiety
Leash pulling & reactivity on walks
House manners (chewing or eating the wrong things)
Jumping up or invading personal space
Potty training
Relationships with other pets or people
Resource guarding
Nipping & biting
Excessive barking
Socialization with other dogs (fearfulness, roughness, inexperience)
Recall (come when called)
Basic commands (sit, down, stay, etc.)
Advanced commands (open door, carry an item)
Body sensitivity (for grooming or vet visits)

Loose-Leash Walking

Let’s Walk the Dog together! Walks are one of the most common struggles of dog ownership, and mastering them can take practice over time. If you have already done a private training session and are ready to focus primarily on having better and better walks with your dog, this is a great way for us to build those necessary body language and leash handling skills together. Eliminate your worries and start making your walks the best part of your day.

Training Walk

$65

Training Walks are about 45 minutes long, and our favorite walking location is North Pond (North of the Lincoln Park Zoo) but we can meet wherever is best for your walking goals. If you'd like, our dogs can come along too to build social skills or help with distraction practice.

Boarding with Training

Board your dog with the peace of mind that they will be looked after by a professional and will be practicing good training behaviors throughout the stay such as respectful house manners, healthy socialization, and loose-leash walking. Boarding can be especially helpful for training certain behaviors which take longer than a 1 hr session to address. Since our home includes two people, two dogs, and a cat, at this time we have room to accommodate one dog at a time, or two from the same home.

Standard Boarding with Training

$100/Night

Dogs will stay with us in our home in Lakeview, Chicago. They will have off leash playtime in our enclosed yard, and will be snuggled into a comfy bed every night. We will send photos every day and training videos and updates upon request. We’re here to help support your dogs' good behaviors and to give them a safe and fun home away from home. We are more than happy to accommodate energetic dogs, senior dogs, and dogs with special needs.

Boarding with Intensive Training

$125/Night

This option is for dogs who require more specific and focused instruction to reach their training goals. Dogs will receive all standard boarding care plus additional time allotted for personalized training. Examples include:

Crate/Separation training
Potty training
Socialization training (dog is inexperienced with other dogs or shows fearfulness, aggression, resource guarding, lack of confidence, etc)
Reactivity training (dog lunges or barks intensely towards certain triggers)
Puppy training

Repeat Boarding with Standard Training

$85

For dogs that have stayed before and excel at all standard training behaviors and require little to no further training.

Pickup and Drop Off Services

$20/$30

For pickup and drop-off within 5 miles of the Lakeview Neighborhood in Chicago, the cost for one way is $20 and round trip is $30.

*Training Locations - If your desired meeting location is within 8 miles of Wrigley field in Chicago, there is no charge for Walk the Dog Training to come to you. If your location is further away, we will be happy to accommodate that if possible, but there will be a travel fee to reflect the distance.
